EJH Construction is happy to announce that on Thursday April 28th the company will host the following class: 2010 Advanced Speed Drying Method using Thermal Energy System
This upcoming class will introduce you to a system that combines new and innovative equipment and procedures that reduces drying time on water damage claims to an average of 1/3 the normal time. TES can completely dry any IICRC’s Class 1 and 2 water losses involving up to 1500 sq. ft. in 30 hours or less. This system will be introduced to you through a 3 hour seminar and training session. This class is also approved for 3 hours of CE credit with the state of Michigan.
During the seminar the instructor will:
Show how the affected party can continue living or working in the home or structure while the drying takes place thus reducing the additional living expenses.
Show how ALE is also reduced by processing the job in 1/3 the normal time – this will be demonstrated.
Address one of the largest concerns with water damage – mold and fungi growth. This causes high concern for the insured, insurer, and the contractor. Discusmesophilic fungi, and specifically Stachybotrys Chartarum, is considered the “black mold” that received so much publicity for causing health problems. It must be prevented and this will be covered in the class.
Discuss the psychometrics of drying and show students how proper measurements and the use of instruments will indicate where the structure is wet and prove the structure is dry on completion. We will show pictures and examples of actual jobs where improper drying has taken place. We will explain how and why these areas might be missed in the pre and final inspection and what can be done to prevent this.
Explain the documentation they might expect from their contractors that will show that the job was set up for correct drying, that drying progressed during the job and then documenting that all areas were dry at completion. This will be shown with current protocol but also they will receive information and protocol for the future of drying (which is now here) showing documentation using the Reets Drying Method. This method speeds drying and thus reduces inconvenience, safety concerns, liability and expenses all the way around.
Demonstrate a hard wood floor and a carpeted room where walls, carpet, carpet cushion, and plywood sub-floor are all flooded and then dried during the class. In doing this, they will learn were to test and what to look for making sure the job is processed correctly, preventing secondary damage and fungi growth.
